The city is seeking public input on a project that will replace the bridge at May Avenue and Northwest Expressway.

The bridge collapsed in 2016 after a truck carrying construction equipment hit it and destroyed three beams. Noted as one of the city's busiest intersections, there have been 377 collisions in the past 10 years, with one fatality and seven serious injuries, the city said on its project website. Most crashes occur on the ramp connections to May Avenue and Northwest Expressway.

Residents have until April 25 to submit comments via mail or online about three design options that will improve safety and traffic flow. The timeline for comments was extended from March 31.
