Yahoo News By Chelsea Weeks, Claremore Daily Progress, Okla. June 21, 2022 Jun. 21—Construction on State Highway 20 is about 70 percent complete with an anticipated completion in the late summer. "We're pleased that work on Highway 20 has been progressing smoothly," Oklahoma Department Of Transportation Public Information Officer T.J. Gerlach said. The $4.6 million project was awarded to C3 Construction in March of 2021 and began after the July 4 weekend. The project was halted in April due to safety concerns after construction crews hit a gas line three times and found gas lines in two other areas. Construction started again around the end of November in 2021. Gerlach said the remaining work is the continued replacement of the old concrete with new pavement.
