Drivers warned of busy week ahead in Owasso on Highway 169 and 76th St. North

OWASSO, Okla. — Drivers who commute to and from Owasso are advised to give yourself extra time as a busy week

of construction work gets underway at State Highway 169 and 76th Street North.

Every day this week, there will be various closures of both lanes and on and off ramps. The bulk of the closures are due to the application of new asphalt.

"This should be the last big week of closures before we wrap up this phase of the project," Oklahoma Department of Transportation Spokesman T.J. Gerlach said. "Once we're through this week, we will have some small closures here and there for things like lane striping and construction of a separator wall, but nothing as big as what we'll see this week."
