Oct 5, 2023 Thousands of Sooner fans will head to Dallas this weekend, and officials gave details on how to make the trip down the interstate shorter. The Oklahoma Department of Transportation said there are a few ways drivers on Interstate 35 can avoid the heavy traffic, with one being taking alternate routes. “This weekend is OU-Texas. It’s one of the biggest travel weekends for I-35. The I-35 corridor, especially the southern corridor, is going to see a ton of traffic," said Bryce Boyer with ODOT. "We also do have a lot of alternate options we’re recommending drivers take. You know, we have US-81. We have US-377. We even have US-77 that essentially parallels I-35."
