June 21, 2022 A potential commuter rail link between Edmond, Oklahoma City and Norman is in the running for a $100 million federal grant as plans proceed for creation of a regional transit system. Consultant Kathryn Holmes told the Regional Transportation Authority of Central Oklahoma the proposed operation is eligible for the Federal Transportation Administration’s New Start Project grants that provide a minimum of $100 million toward systems totaling more than $300 million.
