OKLAHOMA CITY — The extreme Oklahoma heat has caused roads across the state to buckle.
The heat is exhausting many things, including the roads, and the Oklahoma Department of Transportation said it's just the beginning. Although the state is just two days into August, ODOT said they've seen buckled roads.
Though ODOT only responds to interstates and highways, not city streets, they still anticipate many more.
"It's kinda like an earthquake. When an earthquake happens, it happens really quick," said Tara Henson, public information officer with ODOT.
