MIAMI, Okla. — New signs are popping up alongside a historical highway.
This time we aren’t talking about Route 66. Instead, it’s the Jefferson Highway, which predates the Mother Road. The Oklahoma Department of Transportation has installed new signs along parts of local roads where the route is located.
Dobson Museum Director Jordan Boyd says the two nostalgic highways share something in common—namely their route through the Four States.
