(TNS) — According to the White House, Oklahoma will spend more than $ 5 billion on roads, bridges, electric vehicle charging stations, and rural broadband expansion under an infrastructure bill being discussed in the US Senate this week. You will receive it.

Most of the money will go to the construction of highways and bridges and will be distributed over the next five years. Estimates from the White House did not include other factors in the infrastructure bill, such as water and electricity project costs.

“For decades, Oklahoma’s infrastructure has suffered from a systematic lack of investment,” the White House said Wednesday.
