I-235 construction: Ramp closings to be followed by shift of northbound traffic

Six ramps at the junction of Interstate 235 and Interstate 44 were expected to be closed Tuesday night to shift northbound traffic to the permanent alignment between downtown Oklahoma City and Edmond.

Traffic will remain limited to two lanes northbound and southbound through the remainder of 2021.

Construction crews are working on the southbound I-235 bridge over I-44, the last section of the rebuilding of I-235 to be completed before the highway is fully reopened.
