I-44 Pedestrian Bridge moving to next phase

The I-44 Pedestrian Bridge will soon be moving to the next phase of progress: concrete pouring.

LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) - The I-44 Pedestrian Bridge, now set in place at the construction site at I-44 & Gore Blvd, will soon be ready for the next phase: pouring concrete for the bridge deck. This work is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2024, between 1:30 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.

To ensure safety, both lanes of I-44 will again be temporarily closed during these hours, with traffic diverted through the on-and-off ramps.
