Infrastructure funding in Oklahoma roads could improve plans already in place

(KTUL) — Oklahoma will receive billions from the U.S. Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act with the ability to invest in water, power, rural broadband and roads. The Oklahoma Department of Transportation has an eight-year plan of road and bridge projects, but according to a statement to NewsChannel 8, IIJA dollars could help. Part of the statement reads: "The Oklahoma Department of Transportation has been closely monitoring congressional actions during negotiation of the infrastructure bill and is starting to analyze the exact funding and policy details in the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act."
