TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) — Road projects across Oklahoma are set to receive nearly $50 million in infrastructure funding from the Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity program to go towards fixing and modernizing the state's roads.

The RAISE program granted $2.2 billion to states across the U.S. using funds from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, which will also provide an additional $7.5 billion over five years for the program to help meet project demands around the country.

The different Oklahoma agencies will receive $48,718,179 in total for the six approved projects.

$10 million will go to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation for a 51st Street Extension Project that will reconnect neighborhoods negatively impacted by Highway 75 in west Tulsa.
