The project could cost millions but some state leaders said it's necessary. On Monday, the Oklahoma Department of Transportation was scheduled to get a full update from a committee tasked with reviewing the stretch of I-35 from OKC all the way down to the Texas border. ODOT officials said they are hoping to decrease the number of wrecks on the heavily traveled highway. The project would cost the state $11M and would widen I-35 at the Oklahoma-Texas border.
