ARDMORE, Okla. (KTEN) — Rehabilitation of the bridge on Michelin Road is the latest project in a new round of infrastructure improvements that the City of Ardmore's engineering department is starting to focus on.

The Michelin Road bridge project has been awarded a bid costing just over $442,000, about $58,000 less than the engineer's estimate.

"The bridge over the creek is constructed of pre-stressed concrete girders. Based on some bridge inspection reports, there is some cracking and spalling of the concrete,” interim city engineer Michael Edge said. “It's still supporting the bridge; we're just trying to prevent further problems."
