Every year, I like to provide an update on the Oklahoma Dept. of Transportation (ODOT) projects currently under construction or scheduled for House District 51.
In 2004, the Legislature began providing significant funding support after Oklahoma ranked 49th nationally for state bridge conditions. At the time, 17% of our state bridges were structurally deficient or in poor condition.
Thanks to the Legislature’s ongoing commitment to the Rebuilding Oklahoma Access and Driver Safety (ROADS) Fund, ODOT has made significant improvements to the state’s highway infrastructure. From 2004 to 2022, Oklahoma improved from 49th to 5th in the nation for highway bridge condition.
