The Oklahoma Department of Transportation will replace two bridges in rural northeastern Rogers County in the next couple of years.
ODOT released its Construction Work Plan for fiscal years 2025-2029 Monday. The five-year plan details the transportation department's roads and bridges projects. All projects are paid for at least in part by the County Improvement for Roads and Bridges fund, established by the state Legislature in 2006.
Two bridges in Rogers County are slated for maintenance in Fiscal Year 2025; the process began Monday. Both will eventually be replaced, though only one will actually undergo construction this fiscal year. That's the low-water crossing just north of the intersection of South 4310 and East 330 roads on the Rogers-Craig County line. It is scheduled to be replaced by a raised 140-foot-long bridge, said District 1 Commissioner Dan DeLozier.
