Reconstruction of I-235 between NW 23 and NW 63 started a decade ago and included widening the highway; the switch of two of the cloverleaf ramps at the junction to flyover bridges; new bridges and ramps at NW 36 and NW 50; and replacement of a railroad bridge over I-235. The first change will last about a week or two with the NW 63 exit from northbound I-235 moving from north of the junction to south of the junction. That will allow construction crews to finish paving the lanes connecting to a new northbound bridge over I-44.
