News Channel 8 Tulsa

By James King February 21, 2022 TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) — As the governor calls for billions of dollars to be spent on upgrading the state's infrastructure, an Oklahoma bill is looking to give counties an additional $30 million for their worst roads and bridges. “You have to remember that it costs a great deal of money to pave a mile of highway as well,” said Rep. Terry O’Donnell, District 23. “And so, it's a lot of money but that is a good place to invest in our state.” It’s good news for Oklahoma's over 2,000 deficient bridges across the state. House Bill 3318 would increase the county improvements for roads and bridges funds from $120 million to $150 million.
