OKLAHOMA CITY — A local law enforcement agency is making sure a deputy who died in the line of duty is never forgotten.
On Friday, the state honored Sgt. Bobby Swartz, a former deputy with the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office, who was killed in 2022.

“To see that sign raised today in honor of Bobby Swartz is, if that doesn’t make you feel some type of way or make the hairs stand up on your arms, I don’t know what gets you because it was really special,” said Oklahoma County Sheriff Tommie Johnson III.
While driving along Interstate 240 and Pennsylvania Avenue is part of a normal commute for many, a new sign along the interstate might stand out.
