Oklahoma maps electric vehicle charging expansion

ARDMORE, Okla. (KTEN) — The Oklahoma Department of Transportation is asking for the public's input on a plan to bring more electric vehicle charging stations to the state's major highway corridors through a new federal program. Over the next five years, Oklahoma will receive $66 million in federal funding to expand electric car charging stations and other EV infrastructure across the state. "The first year we are going to be working on the corridors — specifically interstates — putting them every 50 miles," said ODOT multimodal division manager Jared Schwennesen. Before submitting a plan for the project, ODOT wants to hear the public's needs through an online survey.
