OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority will hold a special board meeting on Monday to consider serious upgrades to the Turner Turnpike between Oklahoma City and Tulsa among other projects.
At 10 a.m., the OTA board will meet to discuss several major projects, including a $38 million widening project on the Turner Turnpike. The project would add 1 1/2 miles of additional lanes, widen the pavement – widening the Turner Turnpike to six lanes – and would realign the westbound lanes for the construction of a new service area.
Another big item on the agenda is the consideration of a nearly $1 million contract modification on design work to the ACCESS Oklahoma project, which is a multibillion-dollar plan to improve the state's highway infrastructure.
