Officials with the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority announced that portions of the Indian Nation Turnpike will go fully cashless by the end of the month as part of the agency’s plan to convert the entire roadway to PlatePay.

“We’ve got the Indian Nation Turnpike slated to have a partial conversion toward the end of this month,” Joe Echelle, Executive Director of the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority said during the agency’s meeting this week.

Echelle said the Highway 3 interchange near Antlers will go cashless along with the main toll booth at Highway 9 on Aug. 28.

The director said th;e reason why the main toll booth located near U.S. Highway 69 is because there are still accidents occurring in the toll zone.
