KOCO News 5 By Alexandria Williams July 29, 2022 OKLAHOMA CITY —The rain is definitely a relief, but it has also been causing challenges and difficult situations on the state’s roads. The heat has damaged roads. Now the rain could, too. If you’ve driven down major highways, you’ve probably seen cracks and breaks in the road. This is all due to the intense heat. Now, the rain is adding another weather element affecting the roads. “We do have to monitor, fix that stuff, those potholes, any project that gets called in, it’s added to the list, and our guys get to it as quick as we can,” said Bryce Boyer with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.
