TISHOMINGO, Okla. (KTEN) — After months of gathering public input and developing plans about how to update a dangerous Y-intersection in Tishomingo, Oklahoma Department of Transportation engineers have finally decided on what will be done to fix it.
"I've worked several accidents at this intersection,” Ravia Fire Chief John Rogers said. “Unfortunately, several of them have resulted in fatalities. What we currently have isn't working."
After going through feedback from a public meeting in April, ODOT officials decided to convert the junction of US 377 and State Highway 22 into a roundabout.
