Tulsa, OKLA. (KTUL) — A major road project in south Tulsa is entering phase two.
The city has been working on Yale Avenue between 81st and 91st for four months, and starting today, drivers will have to take Harvard or Sheridan as Yale completely shuts down to through traffic.
Since November, crews have worked in the area, but the city says the road widening project has reached a point where they now have to take over lanes with equipment.
When the construction is over, the road will end up with six lanes, easing the traffic flow between the Creek Turnpike and Interstate 44.
