Speed bumps added to bridge at 121st and Garnett heighten driver frustrations

BIXBY, Okla. — First, it was metal plates and now speed bumps have been added to the bridge near 121st and Garnett, adding to drivers' frustrations.

NewsChannel 8 began reporting on this story in May, leading to a blame game between the City of Bixby and Tulsa County over who is responsible for repairing the bridge.

Drivers say they are losing their patience over the lack of action.

“This is a road that if one road closes, they redirect cars here, eventually this will be even slower. We were hoping that after they fixed the one oln 131st they would give a little attention to this bridge but no," said Bixby resident and driver, Vanessa Savage.
