TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) — Wagoner County is referring to the eight tax propositions that will be on the ballot come March 5 as the 'half a penny campaign,' as county officials say it will only cost residents a fraction of a penny if passed.
The propositions address road and bridge improvements, provisions of ambulance and emergency response services, repairs to the county courthouse, and more.
CPA and sales tax consultant, Brent Watson, says that after doing the math on the proposed taxes, it will cost Wagoner County families much more than half of a penny.
