What's next for Broadway and Second? Edmond city planners want more data on one of its main entrances

EDMOND — Alvarado's Mexican Restaurant, gone. Rib Crib, gone. Outback Steakhouse, Applebee's, Golden Corral, Pepperoni Grill, long gone from Broadway Avenue, the main entry to Edmond from OKC, and once, but no longer, the main drag.

Can that be reversed? And, with traffic usually speeding in from the south, how safe is Broadway?

Second Street from Broadway Avenue east to Interstate 35 is another world, especially where traffic congests — cars, trucks, bicycles and pedestrians — around the University of Central Oklahoma.
