Winter weather causes havoc on Oklahoma roads, highways

OKLAHOMA CITY — The winter weather that hit Monday has caused havoc on the roads.

Not only were roads slick, but the precipitation has also caused high-water situations for drivers. The deceptively deep water has caused cars to stall and some smaller cars got stuck, with officials having to help at least one person during a high-water situation.

While the side streets have been slick, cars have spun out and crashed on Oklahoma highways. Slush, water on the road and low visibility all played a role in the hazardous conditions.
